More Hikes
Kouga-Baviaans Hiking Trail (69km, give or take, 4 days, 3 nights)
Hikers meet at the Nooitgedacht Farming Community (30km gravel road from Kareedouw) where you leave your vehicle for the duration of the hike.
Try to arrive no later than 14h00 to enjoy an unguided out and back hike to the waterfall before dinner, where you will meet your crew and the rest of the group.
The first night is spend on the farm Mooigedacht, an unexpectedly beautiful oases part of the Nooitgedacht Farming Community, in the heart of the Kouga Mountains.
On day 2 we will do a circular hike around Nooitgedacht, enjoying the waters of the Rachels River, and stay a second night at Nooitgedacht.
On day 3 we hike to Entkrale, an outpost on a cattle and honeybush tea farm, with views over the Kommando Kloof (22km).
On day 4 we will hike back to Nooitgedacht, and depart after a light lunch (19km). It will be possible to stay on in the self catering cottages should you wish to spend more time in the mountains.
Bookings
We can accommodate groups between 4 – 12 hikers, accompanied by the support crew. The hike is available throughout the year although not recommended mid summer.
A 50% deposit will secure your booking. The remainder is payable 6 weeks before the hike.
